Now it's time to talk about one of our most special guitars we have in stock, the Fender USA Stratocaster S. R. Vaughan Number One Custom Shop from the Custom Shop Masterbuilt, a limited edition with just 100 pieces, 25 for Europe and two for Spain. At this moment, we are the only store in Spain and Portugal who owns one of them.
Built by the Fender Master Builder John Cruz, this is an extraordinary replica of one of the most iconic guitars, the Number One, with all the specs and details as Stevie left it before his fateful helicopter accident, an untimely flu that modified the story, with a 1963 body, 1959 single-coil pickups, 1962 neck, a left-handed tremolo system, like Jimi Hendrix's guitars, and his initials sticked on the black pickguard. Also, John Cruz recreated in extremely detail its worn finish caused by the way Stevie played and the years of heavy touring.
This guitar, serial number JC108, comes with flight case stenciled "SRV - Number One," a red gig bag modeled after Stevie's, a replica of the black leather strap with white music notes and a documentation folder containing the certificate signed by Cruz, a photo of Stevie with Number One, a copy of the El Mocambo DVD and Fender Custom Shop DVD of the night they inspected Number One.
A unique guitar that represents a part of the history of Blues, a very exclusive collector's item!!
